An Urge to Serve: AU Named the Top Producer of Peace Corps Volunteers Among Medium-Sized Colleges.

More than 750 AU alumni have demonstrated their commitment to global citizenship and making a difference as Peace Corps volunteers.

Throughout the year, the AU Career Center integrates the Peace Corps into its programs, offering opportunities for students and alumni to engage with recruiters and enhance their candidacy. In 2023 alone, the AU Career Center hosted the Peace Corps on eight occasions, spanning various events such as fairs, receptions, and informational sessions. These gatherings provided opportunities for hundreds of AU students to connect directly with Peace Corps representatives, gaining insights into the organization's mission and exploring avenues for impactful service.

From the bustling atmosphere of the Fall 2023 Job & Internship Fair to the intimate settings of networking receptions and employer meetups, AU is committed to fostering connections between students and the Peace Corps.

The symbiotic relationship between AU and the Peace Corps extends far beyond statistics or accolades. It is a testament to the shared values of community engagement, cross-cultural understanding, and the pursuit of positive change. As AU Eagles continue to spread their wings across the globe, they carry with them not only the knowledge gained at AU but also the spirit of service instilled by the university's enduring partnership with the Peace Corps.
