Bio
Dr. Anthony D. Panzera is a teacher and researcher with experiences across numerous human health research environments, from laboratories to national studies. He is passionate about public health policies and downstream community health programming that affect lower income and disadvantaged communities, especially targeted prevention programs for maternal and child health (MCH) and reduction of disparities in accessing community health and nutrition assistance resources. Anthony is a subject matter expert on the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and is a former Federal employee (猫咪社区appDA, Food & Nutrition Service).

In addition to teaching public health and nutrition education courses in the Department of Health Studies, Anthony is principal investigator of the grant-funded project, ATTAIN DC WIC. ATTAIN DC WIC is a local evaluation project that aims to understand how the use of telehealth tools has supported nutrition education among WIC clients in Washington, D.C. Anthony enjoys mentoring undergraduate and graduate students as they move along their career journeys.

Separately from AU, Anthony owns a research and evaluation consulting practice in Washington, D.C, through which he provides supportive services to organizations implementing and evaluating public health service projects. Anthony is a founding board member of the Social Marketing Association of North America and maintains membership in the 猫咪社区app Public Health Association. Anthony practices mindfulness and, although a New York State native, splits his time between Washington, D.C. and Cumberland, MD.
