Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB, Chapter 30)
The Montgomery GI Bill is an educational program available to service members who were on active duty prior to 9/11/2001.
Student should visit the Veterans Administration Web site at www.va.gov to determine eligibility and apply for benefits. After applying for benefits, student should contact the Veterans Services Administrator in AU Central who will certify enrollment.
This benefit is a monthly stipend that is sent directly to the student.
Student veterans have the option of transferring all or part of his/her benefit to a dependent (child/spouse).
Application forms and/or an online electronic application (VONAPP) can be found on the VA Web site.
