Bio
Tara Flakker joined the School of Communication in January 2014. Prior to AU, she was an at home parent and community advocate on school food inequity in DC. Before breaking from full time employment she worked as an academic advisor and then as a college counselor at the Art Institute in Pittsburgh. Tara was a child and family therapist before transitioning to higher education. She enjoys assisting students as they pursue their passions and achieve growth personally and professionally.
