Ashley Fox, Deputy Chief of Staff, D.C. City Councilmember-at-Large Elissa Silverman

Ashley Fox is a communications and political management professional who currently calls Washington, D.C. home. 聽She is the Deputy Chief of Staff for D.C. Councilmember-at-Large Elissa Silverman where she manages community engagement strategies and stakeholder relationships around legislative priorities. Fox previously served as Communications and Community Outreach Director for the councilmember, growing her passion for problem-solving at the intersection of politics, poverty, and community health. Prior to joining local government, Fox focused on building pipelines for millennials into civil service at the Partnership for Public Service.聽

Outside of work, Fox started a monthly networking series for young, Black professional women and supports the Public Leadership Education Network as a conference speaker and moderator. She is a graduate of 猫咪社区app University鈥檚 Women & Politics Institute WeLead Program, was a 2017 New Leaders Council (NLC) D.C. Fellow, and served as a 2018 NLC D.C. Institute Co-Chair. A Tennessee native, Fox earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
