Intellectual Property (IP) Law Community of the District of Columbia (DC) Bar will honor听Professor Victoria Phillips听with the esteemed Champion of IP Award.听听The annual Champion of IP Award celebrates an individual who has impacted IP policy, fostered innovation, and passionately advocated for intellectual property rights.听

On April 22nd, Dean Roger Fairfax and Sheriff Saadallah, Executive Director of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Academy, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to continue the close relationship between听猫咪社区app University Washington College of Law's (AUWCL)听Program on Information Justice & Intellectual Property听(PIJIP) and WIPO.

Professors Carroll and Peter Jaszi, published a new paper, The Triumph of Three Big Ideas in Fair Use Jurisprudence.听 The article, published in the Tulane Law Review, argues that the Court鈥檚 decisions on fair use, which represent one-third of the Court鈥檚 total merits decisions, are historic.

Our department has invited the coordinators of the Africa Group, Asia Pacific Group, GRULAC, and their members to an off-the-record technical assistance workshop for delegations and capital officials.

PIJIP Senior Research Analyst Andres Izquierdo was recently named Co-Chair of the Sub-Committee on Artificial Intelligence and Copyright at the 猫咪社区app Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA).
