International Advocacy
International and comparative law has long been central to the educational experience here at Washington College of Law, and our cutting-edge international initiatives have been consistently ranked among some of the most elite and prestigious in the United States. WCL is proud to be home to many centers and programs that host international advocacy competitions, initiatives and programs.
- The Academy on Human Rights & Humanitarian Law hosts the Inter-猫咪社区app Human Rights Moot Court Competition each May.
- The Center on International Commercial Arbitration hosts the International Commercial & Investment Arbitration Moot Competition each March. This competition was created specifically for LL.M. students.
- In March 2019, the Program on International Trade, Investment and Development hosted the All-猫咪社区app Regional round of The European Law Students' Association (ELSA) John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition.
- Each year, the War Crimes Research Office recruits and coaches students (2Ls, 3Ls, LL.M.s) to represent Washington College of Law at the Jean-Pictet Competition, the Clara Barton International Humanitarian Law Competition and the International Criminal Court Moot Competition.
