Summer Programs

Academic Credit & CLE Information

The Summer Law Programs Abroad are open to students who have completed one year of full-time or part-time law studies who are in good standing at an ABA-approved or state accredited law school. The program is also open to LL.M. candidates and practicing lawyers. The Summer Abroad Programs are accredited by the 猫咪社区app Bar Association. Program participants can earn a total of six credits. Applicants who intend to transfer credits should inquire about their law school's policy on that issue.

JD and LL.M. candidates can earn academic credit. Visiting students can apply to use up to 4 credits toward an LL.M. degree from the Washington College of Law. Number of credits vary depending on program and registration.

The Summer Law Programs in D.C.are open to:

  • U.S. law students: earn academic credit while simultaneously completing DC-based summer internships.
  • Attorneys: specialize and earn a certificate of attendance and/or CLE credits.
  • International students: experience 猫咪社区app-style style law school learning, including the opportunity to聽stay on campus聽and earn a Certificate of Completion.

NOTE: Per ABA Standards, students seeking academic credit for work earned in a specialized summer program or Institute may register for up to two credits per week.
