About the Center

The Center on International Commercial Arbitration provides a high-level academic forum for exchanging ideas on salient issues and current developments in the field of arbitration expanding on the accomplishments of WCL鈥檚 International Arbitration Program, which debuted in 2004. The Center is directed by Horacio A. Grigera Na贸n, an independent international arbitrator and former secretary general of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce. The Center also benefits from the knowledge and strategic advice of a Board consisting of many of the most highly respected attorneys in international arbitration and dispute resolution.

Center objectives include enhancing traditional and experiential academic offerings and formalizing research and publication endeavors in the field of international arbitration and other means of resolution of international economic disputes including mediation, negotiation and conciliation.

Participants are trained in the latest challenges in the field through courses, seminars and workshops taught by leading academics and practitioners.

The Center on International Commercial Arbitration offers a crossroads for international business and law by educating students, and training practitioners on emerging issues in arbitration. The Center oversees a variety of academic and extracurricular activities, including specialized course offerings, conferences and workshops, networking events, internships and professional development programming, research and publication opportunities, online programs and participation in related moot court competitions
