In April 2024, Professor Grossman participated as a speaker at the Summit of Pacific Leaders held on Easter Island. Drawing on his expertise in sea-level rise and ocean governance, Professor Grossman contributed to Panel 5, which focused on the legal implications and strategic responses to various global challenges, including the environmental and health crises caused by plastic pollution.

From October 21 to 23, 2024, Professor Claudio Grossman participated in two significant international events. As Special Rapporteur for the International Law Commission (ILC), he presented his report, "Immunity of State Officials from Foreign Criminal Jurisdiction," to the 6th Committee of the United Nations General Assembly and addressed member states' comments on October 23. Later that day, he served as a panelist at an event organized by Canada鈥檚 Permanent Mission to the UN, discussing the Independent International Panel on Arbitrary Detention in State-to-State Relations and its implications for international law.

He emphasized challenges Trump will face in governing, including climate issues, immigration policies, and party unity, as well as the broader cultural and social impacts of his leadership. Trump's victory, he concludes, marks a paradigm shift with significant national and international implications.
