Andrew Guthrie Ferguson

Andrew Guthrie Ferguson, Professor Andrew Guthrie Ferguson is a national expert on predictive policing, big data policing, and emerging surveillance technologies.  Professor Ferguson is the author of the book (2017).  His legal focuses on the digital transformation of the criminal justice system and he is a frequent commentator in the national media.  In 2017 Professor Ferguson co-authored the law professors’ to the Supreme Court on behalf of the Petitioner in Carpenter v. U.S., involving the warrantless collection of cell-site tracking data. Professor Ferguson serves as a at the NYU Law School’s Policing Project, examining the civil rights, privacy, and public safety aspects of new surveillance technology.  He is also an Advisor to the èßäÉçÇøapp Law Institute (ALI) Principles of the Law, Policing Project.
