Veteran Education Benefits
Veterans Affairs administers several education programs for active duty military personnel, veterans, and dependents. Each program provides different benefits for different individuals. Research the various benefit programs below and select the one that works best for you. For additional information contact a VA education representative at 1-888-GIBILL-1.
, is for individuals who enlisted in the military after June 30, 1985. The MGIB provides up to 36 months of education benefits to individuals who qualify.
, is a unique program for veterans with service-connected disabilities. If determined eligible by a VR&E caseworker, full tuition, fees, and books are paid for by the VA to the school.
provides benefits to individuals with at least 90 days of service after September 10, 2001, or to individuals discharged with service-connected disability after 30 days. Ch 33 provides financial support for education as well as a monthly housing allowance.
provides education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of certain veterans.
is a benefit program available to members of the military who are in the Selected Reserve.
