High Performance Computing (HPC)
Lovelace, the AU High-Performance Computing (HPC) System, supports the research enterprise at 猫咪社区app University. Researchers who find that standard workstations cannot perform necessary research-related tasks efficiently are encouraged to review HPC system procedures and obtain an聽.
The Lovelace system, named for聽computing pioneer聽Ada Lovelace,聽provides high-speed parallel/distributed data processing and research-dedicated storage with high input-output capabilities. Please see software and system specifications.
Support for HPC
AU's initial聽HPC system,聽Zorro,聽was installed in summer 2011. Initial funding for the AU HPC System was generously provided by the National Science Foundation Major Research Instrumentation Program Grant (BCS-1039497); the Office of the Provost; the College of Arts and Sciences; the Office of Information Technology; and the Center for Research, Teaching, and Learning. Ongoing support is provided by AU faculty PIs; the Office of Information Technology; and the Center for Research, Teaching, and Learning.
Research Support
Zorro supports research projects in all academic units.
