The Market – AU's Food Pantry

What is the Market?

Students should never go hungry or skip meals because they can’t afford enough to eat. To support students who are experiencing food insecurity, èßäÉçÇøapp University offers the Market Food Pantry, providing free groceries and limited personal-care items to all students in need. The Market is regularly stocked to the best of our ability with fruits, vegetables, grains, protein, dairy, and more. The Market is designed as a supplemental source of food, not a primary source.Ìý

The Market is solely donation based. Therefore, its resources are limited to the number of items or amount of monetary donations that èßäÉçÇøapp University receives directly to this fund. Donations are greatly appreciated as student needs have elevated significantly in recent years. Want to donate? Find a list of items the AU Market needs in the FAQ, or .Ìý

How do I access the Market?

Every student, incoming and returning, must fill out the once per academic year, as access resets every fall. The information submitted in the form is kept private, and Market access is granted to all students, no proof of need necessary. Once granted, students may visit The Market by tapping their AU One Card on the door during its operating hours.Ìý

To ensure that resources are distributed as equitably as possible, students may shop once per week and may take one (1) bag for their individual use. Please follow all Market guidelines while shopping.Ìý

Students with needs that span beyond the support of the Market can find more community resources under our Find Support tab.
